Texas Veterans Commission
The Texas Veterans Commission, created in 1927 to assist veterans of the Indian wars, Spanish-American War and World War I, is the state appointed advocate for Texas veterans as they secure their earned benefits.
The agency provides claims representation and counseling to veterans, dependents and survivors, employment services matching job seekers with employers, oversight of education and training benefits, and grants to charitable organizations, local agencies and service groups providing direct services to Texas veterans and their families.
